SALUD Y ARTE = SaludArte! A History
Neighbors JulieTodd & Keyla Rodriguez started SaludArte in 2015 in our apartment building on Kent St. in Lawrence, MA. Julie made aromatherapy products and Keyla created all kinds of visual art items. With a few other friends, we used Julie's Apartment, made tea, and invited our friends and family to come and purchase our handmade, homemade items, healing products and services for the holidays. It was equal parts open house and shop-local holiday fair. We have grown every year since then, holding the event in person at Julie’s place. 2020 caused us to innovate and led us to taking SaludArte virtual. As of December 2021, we’ve finally been able to bring SaludArte back to being safely held in-person! Join us on Saturday, April 2nd in Lawrence!
We are seeking vendors from the Merrimack Valley who take pride in creating handmade/homemade artistic goods and/or holistic healing products.

It was due to the pandemic that this wonderful new form that I'm fond of blossomed into something more. My newest edition has included making wire hoop earrings and matching rings."

My business name is an acronym for my full name, which phonetically sounds like "love". Therefore LEVH arts. I enjoy experimenting and exploring, so I don't have a specific medium that I stick with. At the moment, I'm having lots of fun creating polymer clay sculptures, making embroidered items, and painting (traditional/digital hybrid). I would describe my art as strange-cute. Strange, because that's a word I've definitely heard said about my art, but I fully embrace it and sometimes aim for, and cute, because sometimes it just is :)" Clay sculptures/prints/embroidered hats and patches/enamel pins/stickers
