My mom, Mary Todd, models how to think critically & act locally, and, essential to my life as a creative & activist, instilled in me the positive obsessions evident in this blog: to hand letter, to write letters & to take photos of beautiful things.

I launch the Sticks & Stones blog with an homage to my dad and his obsession with sticks. My father, Jim Todd, passed away on April 3, 2022 from Alzheimer's Disease.
