Weddings & Other Holy Unions

As a former ordained clergy person, I have a lot of experience presiding at weddings. While in many cases there is a lot of religious tradition & language associated with such ceremonies, there are no strict rules for these events. Sometimes it is a blend of a traditional service with a more modern and flexible point of view. Sometimes it is something completely unique. I enjoy helping people consider what might be the most meaningful ways to express the importance of their relationships. 

I have been marrying Queer folx for many years. If you are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and/or Queer, I am glad to work with you on your wedding or covenant ceremony.

Some people want to get married officially, other folx simply want to have their relationship blessed & recognized in-community without the involvement of the state. In whatever case, officiant services usually include two pre-ceremony planning meetings in addition to the wedding/service itself. I offer a $250-500 sliding scale for my wedding fees, which will be determined at our first planning meeting, and may be paid in installments. If there is an unusual amount of travel required, or an overnight stay at a venue, there may be additional remuneration required. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Funerals & Memorial Services

Remembering those who have died is one of the most important and meaningful rituals in our lives. It is a time of transition and sadness that can be very difficult to handle. I have a lot of experience with planning & officiating at funerals & memorials. Like weddings, there are no hard and fast rules; a service of remembrance can be as traditional or as unconventional as it needs to be to honor your loved one well. I also help create & facilitate private rituals for loved ones as well as more typical public wakes and funerals.

I usually charge $250 to officiate a public funeral. No one will be turned away for a lack of funds.

Child Dedications & Baptisms

As many people move away from institutionalized religion, we have lost local communities in which to engage in important life markers and transitions. One such important marker is the welcoming and blessing of a child in the community. I am available to create and help you to implement a child dedication ritual. In the Christian tradition this is called a baptism (by water), but there are many ways in which to create a ceremony in which a gathered community blesses and commits to the child’s growth and well-being.

House/Apartment Blessings & Cleansings

Especially if you are moving into a new place to live, it is great to begin fresh with a house cleansing and blessing. I work with Elizabeth Delgado, intuitive healer and owner of Colectiva Wellness & Healing, to offer a simple ritual of cleansing and blessing before you move in, or soon after. Custom Products

I create products that are unique and custom-made for you. It is a special process. I am also able to make customized products singly or in bulk for your business or event. Cost and consultation fees for bulk purchases will vary on the basis of the scope of your needs.
